Barton House
This elegant three-story nineteenth century house is our primary student housing building. It offers:
Howard House
This smaller but stately home has earned the nickname "Green House" because its residents commit to sustainable living practices when they move in. For many years, this house was an extension of Boston University School of Theology. While Boston University remains a partner, as of 2019, this house has joined with the larger Barton Community. This home offers:
Hume House This house is used for additional Barton Community members. This home offers:
Harding Apartment This is a private apartment for a couple or for two single roommates. It can also be used for additional Barton Community members. |
Housing Rates 2020
Single Rooms range approximately between $725-$800 per month
Suites range approximately between $1,020-$1900 per month
Community members are provided with onsite parking (as space allows) for $60 per month per vehicle
All standard utilities (heat, electric, water, trash/ recycling, wireless internet) are included in the monthly rent.
Other costs include: laundry (some homes have coin-op laundry machines in the basement, the homes without coin-op machines will have a surcharge built into their rent), a $2 composting service fee, optional air conditioning units (efficient window units must be rented from the Walker Center for $35 per month).
